Becoming a Volunteer Firefighter

2. Must attend three VBVFD Business meetings at Station 3 (the first Monday of every month at 6:00 pm) to be voted on as a new member.

We are taking a break from meetings for July and August. The next meeting will be on Monday September 16th (moved due to the absense of a member and the Labor day holiday).

Regular meetings will resume in October.

3. Complete FEMA courses below and turn in with your completed application at your third meeting.

Applicants must obtain certificates of completion from the following web-based independent study programs offered by the Federal Emergency Management Institute. These courses are free and can be accessed at FEMA Training Courses.
